Car originally built from new bodyshell by Peter Vickers around 1995. Peter is the man behind many of Bill Sollis’ cars.

 

Engine

 

1000cc fully raced prepared head and block with front mounted radiator and oil cooler 

Brian Slark head machined for 11 stud head bolt fixings

ARP head stud kit

Fully gas flowed head

Increased diameter valves

Offset valve guides to allow for larger valves

Relieved water and oil galleries for greater fluid flow

Modified rocker cover for crankcase pressure relief

Double choke Weber 45 running on single choke only into aluminium inlet manifold and twin failsafe throttle cables

Increased combustion chambers and porting angles

Head decked to suit block 

Built into a Rover A+ block

Roversport piston assemblies

Modified Cooper ‘S’ con-rods

Modified Roversport crankshaft

Steel flywheel

All the above have been lightened and balanced dynamically

Modified centre strap for the crankshaft

Relieved oil galleries for greater fluid flow

Metro Turbo oil pump

Negative camber front lower wishbones with rose jointed ends

Rose jointed uprated front tie rods

Cooper ‘S’ front brake assembly with carbon metallic pads

Minifin finned and spacered  aluminium brake drums

Braided hoses to brake cylinders and calipers
